A space to explore the creativity, science and big questions behind AI.

Opening in December.
Free to visit.

Coming soon to London’s King’s Cross.

Part gallery, part workshop and open to all, it’s a place for everyone – educators and engineers, artists and scientists, people on their way home from work or school, or just headed to the shops on the King’s Boulevard.

It’s for people who’ve never heard of a neural network, and for people who’ve built one. All in the same space, often on the same day, sometimes even in the same conversation.

There will be a café too. Start there, if you like.

Prompt Discussion

Season 1 Intelligences

Bring yours, meet other kinds, explore what comes next.

What is intelligence? Sounds like a simple question, but people have been arguing over it for 150 years. Animals have theirs. You have one that can learn almost anything. And you may have noticed machines are joining the group.

That’s where AI Exchange’s first exhibition comes in. We’re bringing together the people building artificial intelligence (AI), the people making art responding to it, and everyone still working out where they stand.

There’s another type of AI on the horizon, called Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). It doesn’t exist yet, so now’s the time to get acquainted.

Join us for free talks, immersive exhibitions and hands-on workshops.

Some of the show, you’ll see:

A brand-new stone goddess, sculpted using patterns an AI found in prehistoric ones.

Senegal’s lost flowers, regenerated by AI from patchy records.

A chunk of it, you’ll do:

Can you doodle something that another person recognises but an AI doesn’t?

Refine a corner kick strategy with the help of an AI assistant?

Steer an awkward object through obstacles better than a mob of ants?

Featured artists and designers include:
